Thanksgiving

THANKSGIVING

We had thanksgiving at the Gillilan's home in Lehi. It was a fun time with delicious food! Thanks Christina. Our dinner included all 7 of us: Anna, Rick, Erik, Cheryl, Logan, Christina, and Gary! After dinner we count Gary's change jar that he collected for the year (a tradition we have had ever since I married in and before I believe). We first guess how much money is in there and how many coins. This year Rick was the closest! Good Work. We then get to split the change. Logan fell asleep so we gave him his change to put in his basketball the day after. We went out shopping a little the day after and found some great finds (mostly DVD's). Robyn cut and colored my hair the day after also. Thanks Robyn! Anyway, we had a great thanksgiving with our fabulous family!

Fall

(I wrote this a week or two ago, but I never got back to it.....so here it is)

Fall is a beautiful time! We are so lucky that winter is not here yet! It seems like it may never come, but I am sure it is on its' way! But reports show not this week anyway! We go hiking in the mountains above our house and we love it! Here are some neat pictures of the awesome outdoors!

Halloween

Logan loved halloween and was even willing to leave his costume on when he saw everyone else in them and when he got candy for wearing it! YEAH! Kelli (my sister) made these costumes for her twin boys and herself, so Logan got to be both! We went trunk or treating with Becca and then went around our neighborhood a little bit with Diane. Far mor and Far Far (Gary and Christina) were able to come out and have some fun with us. We had a great time!

Yes, one more slideshow

I know there are a lot of pictures. And I am sorry if this takes up all of your allotted "blog" time, but feel free to skip the slide show or all of it together! From Jakarta we left to bali. This was neat and we got to see hindu temples, dances, beaches etc. it was a neat place to visit. When we got home we went on a train ride up to bandung (where my parents live) and it was a neat train ride. We saw some beautiful rice fields and farm land. We loved spending time in Bandung, it was a nice place. Thanks for the great trip mom and dad you were great tour guides!

Yes, my bags are unpacked

And they have been for a while. Well, when you have soooo many pictures and you have to choose from all of them the best, and then you really don't even choose the best, it gets really stressful! Ok, so not really that dramatic, but I did start a long time ago and just never got back to it. So I just went ahead and posted the slideshow that I had! I am going to make another one of Bali and Bandung. This trip was an awesome experience. Erik and I both had a great time and loved being there. It was great to see my mom and dad and they are doing great. (besides my dad's spat of the runs while we were there, they seemed pretty good :) We even got to see the hospitol my dad likes to spend a lot of his time in. It was pretty nice, so I guess I don't blame him. After our 20 hours of flying we were happy to arrive and see this new country. We got to meet and spend a lot of time with my parent's driver named Roshen. He is a really nice guy and he drove us all around. We went to a park like polynesian culture center where they had little representations of the islands of indonesia. We also went into a mosque in jakarta that was huge. Inside and out they can hold 200,000 people! They made us wear the robes because too much of our skin was showing. We went on a safari where you just drive your car around and feed and look at the animals. Anyway, this was an eye opening experience and we were both sad to leave, except for that little blonde kid we left behind... we kinda like him.

Jakarta, Indonesia

All my bags are packed......

I'm ready to go... well almost. That's right tomorrow I will be venturing off to the great county of Indonesia. My parents are serving their mission there and we have the opportunity to go and visit. We are excited and I'm sure we will have some great experiences! Hey it's only 2o hours of flight! HOLY COW! Logan gets to stay with the in-laws and I hope they will still want to be his grandparents by the time we return. (11 days is a long time with our little friend) It may take them a month or so to recover....... :)

CHARGERS, CHARGERS, CHARGERS

Well, yes the Gillilan's are huge Chargers Fans. So of course for the first game we had a big party. Friends and Family gathered together for this memorable event. Would have been a bit better had the Chargers not lost the game in the last 2 seconds as the Panthers scored a winning touchdown! DARN! Well still was fun and the Barbecue after was still delicious. Maybe next game! Denver here we come. GO CHARGERS!!!

FISHING Strawberry

We went up fishing on Gary's boat. It was a lot of fun and I even caught a fish. Erik caught 3! Turns out the banana smelly jelly worked for me!

KEEP RUNNIN!

Logan Top of Utah Half Marathon. I did it! My first half marathon. It went pretty good, I wanted to finish in 2 hours and my time was 2 hours and 10 seconds! Darn those 10 seconds! Anyway, I was pretty happy with my time and was only sore for about 3 days later, what's 3 days of pain anyway right!?? Thanks to my great husband and Logan for waking up at 5 in the morning and taking me up and supporting me! They're great!

Camping!

Camping is fun! We headed up east of pine view for a night out. We got out our new camp stove and fired it up for the first time. (after we were starving and it took 20 min of assembly! oops) Campfires and marshmallows... YUM! It was beautiful up in the trees and our spot was right near the river. Next thing on my list before camping is to get Logan a sleeping bag! I kept waking up worrying he was freezing. But it was fun to be in the great outdoors!

St. George Trip

Trip to St. George

We took a trip down to St. George for fun. We went to see some or our favorite spots and visit friends. The Christensen's were nice and let us stay with them! Aren't they great!! We went to some neat parks and explored the red rocks. I got to go to 2 of Marti's Zumba classes and that was really fun, and I looked really funny! Marti and I also got to see Les Miserables at Tuacahn (at a discounted price thanks to Hailey! :) It was a fun trip! Even though it was 106 degrees and the Camry doesn't have air conditioner! UGH!

Sleeping Out!

This is us inside our tent, we set it up in Farfar's (grandpa's in Swedish) backyard so Logan could sleep out! :) Maybe one of these days we will actually make it camping somewhere!

Blogging???

Well, I have decided to try this out! Let's see how it goes. I am now a stay at home mom, so it is probably my obligation to do it! That's right! I am not going back to teaching. (I taught junior high -family and comsumer sciences- for 4 1/2 years!)
